Practise the Biology section of NEET under exam conditions. Each attempt builds a 90-question paper from every NEET Biology practice set on CodingHumans: cell biology, human physiology, genetics, plant physiology, reproduction and ecology. New sets are added to the question bank automatically.
How the mock test works
- 90 Biology questions with a 90-minute timer, about one minute per question as in NEET.
- +4 marks for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. Unanswered questions score 0.
- Answers stay hidden until you submit. The test submits itself when the time runs out.
- After submitting, every question shows the correct answer, an explanation and a link to the practice set it came from.
- The real NEET paper also has Physics and Chemistry. This mock covers Biology only.

Tips for mock tests
- Take the mock in one sitting, with no notes and no breaks, so your score reflects exam conditions.
- Do a first pass answering only the questions you are sure about, then come back to the rest.
- After submitting, spend as long reviewing the explanations as you spent on the test. Note every concept you got wrong and revise it from the linked practice set.
- Retake the mock after a week. Questions are shuffled each time.

|---|---|
| Biology | 90 questions (Botany 45, Zoology 45), 360 marks |
| Physics | 45 questions, 180 marks |
| Chemistry | 45 questions, 180 marks |
| Marking | +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one, 0 if left blank |

Where the questions come from
The mock draws its questions from these practice sets. If a topic keeps costing you marks, open its set and work through it on its own, with the explanations, before your next attempt.
- NEET Biology MCQs - Cell: The Unit of Life and Cell Cycle and Cell Division (Set 1)
- NEET Biology MCQs - Human Physiology: Digestion, Breathing, Circulation, Excretion and Hormones (Set 2)
- NEET Biology MCQs - Genetics: Principles of Inheritance and Variation (Set 3)
- NEET Biology MCQs - Plant Physiology: Photosynthesis, Respiration and Plant Growth (Set 4)
- NEET Biology MCQs - Reproduction: Human and Flowering Plants (Set 5)

Five sample questions
Here is a taste of the question bank. Try them before you start the full test. The answers are hidden until you open them.
Kranz anatomy, with large bundle sheath cells around vascular bundles, is characteristic of:
(a) C3 plants
(b) C4 plants
(c) CAM plants only
(d) AlgaeShow answer
(b) C4 plants. C4 plants such as maize and sugarcane fix CO₂ in mesophyll cells and run the Calvin cycle in bundle sheath cells. More questions like this
What is the value of Z (the slope of the species-area line) for most smaller regions, according to NCERT?
(a) 0.01–0.05
(b) 0.1–0.2
(c) 0.6–1.2
(d) 2–3Show answer
(b) 0.1–0.2. log S = log C + Z log A. Z lies between 0.1 and 0.2 for most regions, but rises to about 0.6–1.2 for very large areas such as whole continents. More questions like this
The fluid mosaic model of the plasma membrane was proposed by:
(a) Watson and Crick
(b) Singer and Nicolson
(c) Robertson
(d) Danielli and DavsonShow answer
(b) Singer and Nicolson. Singer and Nicolson (1972) described the membrane as a quasi-fluid lipid bilayer with proteins embedded in it, allowing lateral movement. More questions like this
Where does fertilisation normally take place in the human female?
(a) Uterus
(b) Ampullary region of the fallopian tube
(c) Cervix
(d) Isthmus of the fallopian tubeShow answer
(b) Ampullary region of the fallopian tube. Fertilisation happens at the ampullary-isthmic junction. The zygote then moves down while dividing and implants in the uterus as a blastocyst. More questions like this
What is the phenotypic ratio in the F2 generation of a monohybrid cross with complete dominance?
(a) 1:2:1
(b) 3:1
(c) 9:3:3:1
(d) 1:1Show answer
(b) 3:1. Selfing Tt gives TT, Tt, Tt and tt. Three show the dominant trait and one the recessive. The genotypic ratio is 1:2:1. More questions like this
How to use your result
Biology is half of the NEET score, and almost every question comes straight from the NCERT textbooks. After each mock, go back to the NCERT chapter for every question you missed and read the paragraph it came from. That habit does more for your score than solving extra questions.
Frequently asked questions
Is this based on the NCERT syllabus?
Yes. All questions are original practice questions written from the NCERT Class 11 and 12 Biology textbooks.
How often do questions change?
Questions are shuffled on every attempt and new practice sets join the question bank as they are published.
Where is my score saved?
